Invention of HYDROT-pt5™ and Process

You have heard the phrase “ necessity is the mother of invention.” Well, the invention of the HYDROT-pt5™ is a result of just such a story. I invented the HYDROT-pt5™ to automate all 5 modalities and initiated the first scientific studies at Loma Linda University. With this new automation applying all 5 modalities methodically, it relieved me of disabling back pain that would keep me bedridden for days.  I moved rapidly from the status of an invalid to an athlete.

The HYDROT-pt5™ has been very beneficial for most injuries, post-op, and other ailments. Treatments include, but are not limited to; back problems, sprains, in-cast applications, sore muscles, post-op, TMJ, hip and other joint replacements, plastic surgery, etc.

Our goal is to boldly move the HYDROT-pt5™ into a prominent market position with present and future studies of nerve rejuvenation, cancer, bone marrow transplants, reducing and enlarging body parts as an aid in body building programs, etc.  Both the clinicians and end users have appreciated the wonderful benefits of the HYDROT-pt5™.

About the HYDROT-pt5™

What is the HYDROT-pt5?
The HYDROT-pt5™ is a compact, portable unit, which automatically cycles through a proprietary timing sequence from (1) Hot, (2) Neutral zone, (3) Cold  (4) Continuous directional Massage and (5) Intermittent   Compression. This has proven to be effective in the treatment of edema, wound healing, blood flow and pain control, by regulating the blood flow.  Use at the office, in-home, or on-the-job, for maintenance or rehabilitation are all possible. The therapy is provided through one or more pads.

It is User Friendly.
Simply fill the water reservoirs once, plug in the unit, turn on the power switch, place the pad on the affected area and begin to receive therapy.

Many untreated injuries have required surgery, even amputations, leaving the patient severely disabled. Hot, cold, massage, neutral and compression methodically applied may even save lives. The HYDROT-pt5™ provides it all, making it the best dependable choice for the Professional and the End-User.

Why the HYDROT-pt5™?

Through the years the medical community has made some remarkable achievements and some not so good.  Looking at the remarkable ones, you will find a parallel that is based on the science of cause and effect.  Now when it comes to injuries and wound healing, an article in the San Francisco Chronicle noted that the rehabilitation and physiotherapy arena has been a long time playing with modalities and no one has come up with a home run.

In this report I have attempted to address some basic principles and provide some clarity with logical sequence, filling the gaps that have evaded this arena for so many years.  This science, I submit to you, is found in the Hydrot-pt5™.

The scientific premise upon which the HYDROT-pt5™ stands is based on the fact that blood is the river of life, without it, life stops, therefore, "sluggish blood flow is the first step to invalidism".  "Blood is the river of life that flows through the human body.  We cannot live without it.  The heart pumps blood to all our body cells, supplying them with oxygen and food.  At the same time, blood carries carbon dioxide and other waste products from the cells.  Blood also fights infection, keeps our temperature steady, and carries chemicals that regulate many body functions.  Finally, blood even has substances that plug broken blood vessels and so prevents us from bleeding to death."  --Contributor:  G. David Roodman, Ph.D., Professor of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio; Chief of Hematology, Audie L. Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital

The HYDROT-pt5™ exploits all the 5 known modalities scientifically by automation to meet the full prescription of controlling/regulating the blood flow for the optimum healing. All these modalities have a specific role to play when coming in contact with the body. Therefore, to achieve the optimum result, one must understand the effect of each of the modalities.

Physical and Physiological effects:

  • Heat - creates a physiological response resulting in increased blood flow

Consider symptoms post-op or after an injury!  The area is tense and sensitive, producing pain and restricting blood flow. Prolonged uncontrolled heat intensifies the problem.

Heat diminishes the cells concentration, which impedes blood flow, causes vasodilatation (dilates blood vessels), increases blood flow, raises pulse rate, slightly drops blood pressure, increases sweating,  oxygen consumption,, and fluid transfer across capillaries.

The HYDROT-pt-5™ REGULATES THE BLOOD FLOW locally by controlling the hot/cold timing and variable temperature.

  • Neutral Zone - creates a physiological response resulting in relaxation.

The HYDROT-pt-5-™ relaxes the area with Neutral Zone, (the time between hot and cold applications) resulting in relaxation, allowing unimpeded blood flow and minimal restriction to cellular/tissue repair.

  • Cold - creates a physiological response resulting in restricted blood flow and numbness

Prolonged uncontrolled cold decreases healing. After the first 30 seconds of application, flushing and the desired therapeutic stimulant effect occurs.  Following this timeframe, the potentially harmful depressant effect begins  Cold also decreases blood flow, local metabolism, deep tissue bleeding and nerve response.

  • Massage - creates a physical and physiologic effect moving fresh blood in and stale blood out

“Manipulating the skin to produce healthful effects on the skin and underlying tissue. "Western massage" consists of stroking, rubbing, kneading, and striking the skin; usually with the hands or fingers.

"Eastern massage" includes these same methods, but it also focuses on applying pressure at specific points of the body according to acupuncture techniques.

Massage can improve blood circulation, relax muscles, stimulate nerve endings in the skin, and promote a feeling of general well-being. Depending on how the massage is given, its effects can be either relaxing or invigorating. Massage is often used to promote healing of an injury or muscle soreness, or to relieve tension.”

  • Compression - creates a physical and physiologic effect restraining the swelling

Compression: reduces pooling of blood, swelling and helps in stabilization.  (Used alone may cause more damage Dr. J.S.)

HYDROT-pt-5 regulate blood flow with all five modalities

In studying all these modalities from cause to effect, one realizes that they are labor intensive, requiring assistance that many are not willing to give. Many view the concept as counter productive and not cost effective, yet it stands without peer.  Most of the lack of understanding comes from not realizing the full harmony that must be achieved between these 5 modalities in order to receive optimum results. Unfortunately, this lack of understanding has resulted in prolonged suffering, complicated by prescription drugs to treat the symptoms, amputations, and even death.

 The “Superior and Preferred Protocol”

  • The HYDROT-pt5™ confirms the necessary harmony required between these modalities by cutting recovery down to 1/3 the time that of conventional methods.

  • It also supports the necessary regiments, to be employed.

  • The choice is clear that the HYDROT-pt5™ is indeed a necessary tool in the Durable Medical Equipment arena as it sets new standards.

  • Centuries of undue suffering can now be alleviated. The physiology of the human body as a natural principle demands the assistance of the HYDROT-pt5™.
